The history of SICK

SICK was founded in Munich in 1946 by Erwin Sick, with the idea that light, in combination with precision optics and intelligent electronics, can be a solution for a variety of problems. In the decades that followed, SICK developed into a global company for sensors and solutions for industrial automation. The company now has more than 50 subsidiary companies worldwide.
